31st International Winter Symposium in Intensive Care Medicine: Registration and Call for Abstract

Don't miss this opportunity for international exchange and contribution to the scientific dialogue.

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 31st International Winter Symposium in Intensive Care Medicine, to be held from January 25–30, 2026 in Pontresina, near St. Moritz, Switzerland. This highly anticipated event, held in the heart of the Swiss Alps, is known for its long-standing tradition of bringing together leading minds in intensive care medicine from around the world. Due to the limited capacity and high demand, we strongly encourage early registration to secure your spot at this renowned symposium.

This year marks an exciting new development: for the first time, abstract submission is open online via the official symposium website. By submitting an abstract, you can actively contribute to the international scientific dialogue, gain valuable feedback from experts, and have your work considered for inclusion in the official scientific program. Accepted abstracts will be presented alongside keynotes and sessions covering cutting-edge topics in intensive care, from sepsis and respiratory failure to innovation, neurocritical care, and sustainability in the ICU.

What sets this symposium apart is its intimate and interactive format, offering the rare chance to engage directly with international experts in a collaborative setting. With attendees and speakers from across Europe and beyond, the Winter Symposium fosters deep discussion, shared learning, and lasting professional connections – all in an inspiring alpine environment.

The symposium is organized under the patronage of the Swiss Society for Intensive Care Medicine (SGI) and the Austrian Society of Internal and General Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine.
